Anybody know if there’s plans to have Liverpool themed stamps for 2008? Seems like a good idea to me.

I spoke to a friend recently who reminded me he had submited work in a competition run by the Royal Mail with the City of Glasgow to commission a set of Glasgow themed stamps for 1990 to celebrate the cities cultural renaissance. Are there any similar plans for Liverpool themed stamps? Does anybody know?
It would be fantastic if the Culture Company and City Council could collaborate with the Royal mail to run such a competition to celebrate Liverpool European Capital of Culture 2008. If not why not? Is there something in the pipe line that we are not yet aware of. Could we have missed a trick here?
