Got up ridiculously early this morning to watch the Liverpool Santa Dash start from the Pier Head at 09.30
An amazing sight every year now, over 7000 santas this year followed by around 1000 mini santas (children aged under 12). Great atmosphere and lovely (but very cold) weather.
A lot of money raised for charity by young and old, fit and unfit (its not compulsory to dash, many just walk fast), dogs, pushchairs, wheelchairs, even blue (Evertonian) and green (Irish) Santas.
I don’t think there were enough to beat the world record though – maybe next year.
