Liverpool Performing Arts Festival 2008

This year’s syllabus for the 2008 Performing Arts Festival is now online. The Festival is in its 84th year and has something for everyone.

Performers can choose from 200 classes to perform ranging from singing, piano, orchestral, acting, group acting dance etc.

It gives many performers their first real opportunity to perform in public, assisting competitors to recognise their strong and weak points by comparing their performance with those of others.

Each competitor receives a certificate and a written and verbal adjudication on their performance, and there are special prizes and awards for category winners.

The festival is open for everyone to enter regardless of age with performer ranging from 5 years old to adults.

The dates are:

Music Section – 3rd – 7th March 2008- St Georges Hall

Speech Drama and Dance – 10th March -14th March 2008 – Liverpool Town Hall
