Liverpool Independent Art School Launches with ‘Festival of Drawing’

This July (2016) a new Independent Art School will launch in Liverpool with a drawing festival for all, from the scribblers to the seasoned pros.

Liverpool Independent Art School is an independently run school, pioneered by artists and creative professionals who teach what they believe is important. The workshops and courses will happen at various exciting and independent locations across the city until the whisperings of a permanent venue become a reality.

The LIAS tutors all have their own specialisms and you can find the details of the School’s founding team, as well as scheduled courses and workshops, on the newly launched website www.liverpoolindependentartschool.co.uk

LIAS begins its creative adventure with a Festival of Drawing offering events throughout July, providing a taster for future courses and workshops, and offering an insight into the Art School’s ambitions and values. The Festival aims to engage the general public and practising artists alike, working in partnership with a number of venues across the city. Events include ‘Urban Sketching’, life drawing with a twist, a trip to Hilbre Island, book binding and an after party to celebrate it all.

Details, dates and how to book will be available on the LIAS website soon, but until then, keep up to date by liking the LIAS Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/LiverpoolIndependentArtSchool
and following on Twitter https://twitter.com/LivArtSchool
