Liverpool Hope University and FACT announce first Production Residency for Students

Liverpool Hope University and FACT are launching a new Graduate Production Residency.

The award is the first graduate residency between FACT and Liverpool Hope University and it marks an overall shift in FACT’s approach to making production a more visible part of the exhibition process.

A final year Fine Art student from Liverpool Hope will receive funding and technical support for the production of a new body of work which will be exhibited at FACT in December. The successful graduate will also receive a stipend for the period of the two-month long residency.

The recipient of the residency will be announced at the Liverpool Hope University Degree Show on Friday 29th May at its Creative Campus on Shaw Street.

Funding for the residency has been provided by FACT, the Liverpool Hope Vice Chancellor’s Initiative Fund and an Innovation Award from the university’s Learning and Teaching Committee.

Lin Holland, Senior Professional Tutor and Fine Art Course Leader at Liverpool Hope, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for one of our graduates to gain the highest level of professional experience. It offers a significant platform to exhibit their work immediately after graduation.
