THURSDAY 6 – SUNDAY 9 October 2011 at various Liverpool venues. Liverpool Design Festival is an annual celebration of design and contemporary craft, organised by Design Initiative. This year’s festival plays host to 30+ separate design events across the city.
Last year’s festival attracted more than 8,000 participants. This year’s programme is bigger and better, and includes more than 30 city-wide installations and events – many of which are free.
Festival attractions include installations, photographic exhibitions, film screenings, typography and illustration exhibitions, fashion design master classes, design talks & seminars, catwalks, design displays, online events, public workshops, school awards, art fairs and the much anticipated 2011 Design Show at St George’s Hall (06 – 09 October) that offers a unique chance to browse & buy contemporary design gifts from more than 90 independent designer-makers.
