Hurray, another of our favourite annual events is coming along very soon.
As well as the carnival day on Saturday 1 August there are other events from 19 July onwards and the Opening Ceremony at Novas CUC on 27 July which is free but you need a ticket.

Brouhaha International Carnival, the UK’s largest single piece of moving art returns to take over the streets of Liverpool. Worlds in Princes Park 2009 plays host to two pieces of newly commissioned work. The Mela also returns this year to celebrate the South Asian Culture that has influenced many cultures across the world.
Liverpool International Street Carnival – The People Who Came
Time: 12 noon – 2pm
The Carnival Parade in the North West is the only place to be this summer.
The first year of a new four year project Brouhaha international brings you yet another show stopping carnival parade. the Parade will showcase designs from Liverpool’s Carnival Artistic Director Ray Allan Mahabir.
Parade Start: Mulberry Street (next to the Liverpool Community College Arts Centre)
Parade Route: Catherine St, Princes Rd, Princes Ave, Devenonshire Rd, Devonshire Rd Entrence to Princes Park Parade End: Princes Park.
World In Princes Park
Time: 12 – 7pm at Princes Park
Worlds in Princes Park will showcase two new collaborative works from Brouhaha International and its International Partners.
Music Talks a music project of young musicians from Holland , Germany, Poland and UK.
16 & A Bullet a hip hop dance project that looks at the gun and knife crime amongst young people.
Aside from these performances it will be a day for the family with performace from international, national and local artist, young performers and community groups. Bring a picnic and bask in the atmosphere of the largest multicultural event in Merseyside.
Liverpool International Mela
Time: 12noon – 7pm at Princes Park
The Liverpool International Mela brings to your this year variety of sytle from across the world. Focusing on the newer communities in Liverpool. Working alongside Sola Arts we present poets, musician and visual artists.
