Arts Council England has pledged their generous support to The Tourism Society’s Tourism Symposium taking place in Liverpool on June 2 and 3 as part of the International Festival for Business.
The theme of the Symposium is The role of tourism and culture in creating economic success.
A powerful line up of speakers will explore how more productive and creative ties can be formed between professionals across the tourism, arts and cultural sectors. The first event of its kind, the Symposium will put these sectors right at the heart of the conversation about the generation of business, growth, employment and professional development. This two-day event will begin on Monday 2 June with educational study tours with Mersey Ferries and The Beatles Story, an evening reception at Tate Liverpool and dinner at Gusto Restaurant, followed by a day-long symposium on Tuesday 3 June at Merseyside Maritime Museum.
