IDAHO – International Day Against Homophobia – May 17

idaho-07.jpgFrom Outsiders Film Festival people…

IDAHO – International Day Against Homophobia is here! Thursday 17th May 2007

And there’s lots of things to do!

First up, there’s a FREE screening of the excellent documentary Beyond Hatred (an investigation into a homophobic murder in France) at FACT at 4.30pm. Tickets are limited in number so hurry – from the FACT Box Office. For more information go to www.outsidersfilmfestival.com

Then, at 6.00pm, please come down and gather on the steps of St. Luke’s (the Bombed Church) for the first ever IDAHO demo in Liverpool. It’s going to be a Minutes Noise (with a guest speaker to be confirmed). Bring your whistle! Bring you drum! To find out more visit http://www.myspace.com/idaholiverpool

Then, at 9.00pm, we’re delighted to be bringing back Queer Duck: The Movie (one of our most popular screenings ever last year) for a second ‘outing’. Trust me, if you missed it last time, you won’t want to miss it this time. Online booking and more information is available at www.outsidersfilmfestival.com/events.html

Meanwhile, we’ve added a gallery page to our website (and if any of you out there have any photos of Outsiders events, please feel free to send them to us) and an opinion page where you can spout forth about any local LGBTI issues. First up, Paul Keogh gives us his personal view on the policing of the Otterspool promenade.
