Thursday 16 October 2008

This Thursday, FACT [Foundation for Art and Creative Technology] Director, Professor Mike Stubbs, will address the Chartered Institute of Management on the subject of ‘Beyond Capital of Culture – what next for the city of Liverpool?’

Mike’s talk will ask ‘Where is Liverpool’s cultural quarter and how do we find the cultural whole?’ Mike is one of four speakers to give their opinions on the city’s future, including the challenges and opportunities it faces, followed by a time for questions.

The event is being chaired by BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Roger Phillips, and will also feature talks from Cllr. Flo Clucas, Deputy Leader of Liverpool City Council, Rod Holmes, Chair of The Mersey Partnership, and Jack Stopforth, Chief Executive of Liverpool Chamber of Commerce.

The discussion will be held between 5.30-7.30PM in the Jack Leggate Theatre, part of the University of Liverpool’s beautifully restored and recently opened Victoria Gallery and Museum.
