Today, the FACT Board, confirmed that Mike Stubbs has accepted the offer of the position of Director of FACT and will take up the role in May 2007.
Professor Drummond Bone, Chairman of the FACT Board stated, “Mike Stubbs possesses an international breadth of experience and the Board of FACT and Arts Council North West are very pleased to announce his appointment. Reacting to his appointment, Mike Stubbs, who will move to Liverpool in May with his wife and two children says, “I am massively excited to take up the post of Director of FACT, the organization at the cutting-edge of art and media and one of the jewels in the crown of Liverpool’s ongoing cultural renaissance. Liverpool now has even greater opportunities in progressing as a world class arts and cultural hub and I look forward to applying my more recent experiences in Australia in driving that process through FACT.
