This Spring, the dot-art Showroom hosts an exhibition by painter Josie Jenkins, an artist based in the Baltic Triangle’s Arena Studios, who was awarded “Best Landscape” in the 2012 West Lancashire Open. The works on show explore the lost, forgotten and neglected corners of the British landscape, and the relationship between the environment and its inhabitants, both past and present.

In this body of work the artist explores the British landscape, with an emphasis on the link between the physical properties of the paintings and the imagery used. Themes of weather, decay and deserted places run through this work. The exhibition features work painted on wood, exploring the qualities of this ground and a number of small free standing paintings displayed as objects in their own right.

dot-art, 16 Queen Avenue, Castle Street, Liverpool, L2 4TX.
