liverpool08 yacht finishes in 4th place
After so many days of baking heat and dry weather it was odds-on it would rain just as thousands of people arrived at the Pier Head and Albert Dock to greet the yachts and crews of the Clipper 05-06 Round The World Yacht Race.
Still it didn’t rain all day, the sun shone on the liverpool08 yacht as it sailed past having finished in 4th place overall.
WesternAustralia.com won the race, Durban were 2nd and New York finished just ahead of Liverpool08 to claim 3rd place.
There was plenty of other entertainment to keep people amused (lets face it, boats are pretty boring really aren’t they) with the Chinese lion dancers, jet-ski demos and an air display.
