Life’s a beach at Liverpool Children’s Festival
Thousands of young people will descend on Liverpool’s cultural quarter this Friday August 3 2007 from 11.00 to 16.30
The area around William Brown Street will receive an out-of-this-world makeover for the FREE annual Liverpool Children’s Festival, which opens on the steps of St George’s Hall at 11am.
The all-day entertainment programme includes street theatre, model-making, circus skills, drumming workshops, tightrope walkers, face-painting, and much more… there’ll even be a fake beach on site!
Liverpool Children’s Festival is presented by Liverpool Young Culture Action Group and the Liverpool Culture Company. Fourteen-year-old Imani Thompson of Liverpool Young Culture Action Group, said: “We organise the Children’s Festival to make sure that everyone in the city can have a go at new arts and cultural activities for free.
“We also want to show people in Liverpool that young people can do positive things for other people.
