Liverpool’s Hidden Gem and 1950s Time Capsule reopens on 16 March 2016

Have you been to Liverpool’s incredible hidden gem? The Hardmans’ House is the former home and studio of the iconic photographer Edward Chambré Hardman, his talented artist wife Margaret and their faithful dog Bick.

This stunning Georgian building, just a five minute walk from Bold Street and the cathedrals, is crammed with vintage treasures and extraordinary artwork, including the remarkable ‘From Street to Studio’ exhibition and new portraits of the Hardman House staff and life in 1950s Liverpool.

As actress Dame Beryl Bainbridge, who was photographed by Edward Chambré Hardman in her youth, remarked: “It is as though Hardman walked out one morning after a particularly hectic night in the dark room and forgot to come back.”

With a fun trail to keep the children happy, you can relax and absorb a fascinating authentic step back in time to the life of a great artist in Liverpool.
