Black History Month 2007 – Events

BLACK HISTORY MONTH
Free events at National Museums Liverpool in October

National Museums Liverpool is hosting a packed-programme of events for Black History Month this October 2007.

Black History Month is a national celebration of the history, cultural heritage and achievements of individuals and organisations from the Black community. This year National Museum Liverpool is also marking the bicentenary of the abolition of the British slave trade and the newly opened International Slavery Museum.

From a public debate on the issues surrounding reparations for the descendants of enslaved Africans to family-friendly story telling and arts and crafts sessions there is something in the range of free events for all the family.
