Biennial website goes too far

biennial-consequences.jpgMany people in recent times, including myself, have complained that the Liverpool Biennial website, although looking quite nice in a colourful, elegant way, was rather static. there was little reason to revisit except maybe to check the dates of an exhibition.

This time round however its all far more jazzy and interactive and even has a blog and rss feeds.

But with this latest idea I think they may have gone a bit too far. Yes, its fun, I’ve had a go myself but this is the Biennial remember – the massive festival of contemporary high visual art, not Art Attack!
Would Venice do something like this? I think not.

To be fair, its actually on a separate website and is obviously an attempt at viral marketing. So I’ll forgive them and my tongue is in my cheek anyway. Have a go, its fun.
