Internationally acclaimed sculptor Antony Gormley has unveiled his latest artwork on the site of a former wash house in Bootle.
Following consultation with residents, housing association Riverside commissioned Groundwork to design and develop a public space on the site known locally as the Old Washeteria at the corner of Marsh Lane and Wordsworth Street in the Peel Knowsley neighbourhood.
The development features a series of striking cast iron bollards designed by Antony Gormley, best known for the Angel of the North in Gateshead and Another Place at Crosby Beach.
