All Over The Shop arrives at Metquarter for Christmas Fun

Creative collective, All Over The Shop, is heading to Metquarter for a Christmas takeover throughout November and December with a variety of local creatives, traders and artists in attendance. From fashion-based pop-up shops to a whole host of festive workshops, AOTS will be sure to spread the festive cheer across the centre.

All Over The Shop was set up by lifelong creative Bethan with the aim of bringing together talented creatives. Behind the scenes, AOTS wants to help artists and creatives connect, collaborate & network – because a good support system goes a long way.

As part of the pop-up, AOTS is putting on a whole host of Christmas themed workshops taking place in the centre, led by local creatives and small businesses, including sustainability, customisation and traditional skills.

First up on the jam-packed festive schedule is Painted Disco Balls (15 November) in collaboration with Quirky Design Company where attendees are encouraged to unleash their creativity and groove along to disco tunes as they design a wooden disco ball made from reclaimed wood. Guests will leave with a cute, eco-friendly masterpiece which will make a perfect Christmas gift for any disco lovers. There will be a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival along with snacks and disco clothes are welcome! Tickets are available here.

For those wanting to try their hand at cake decorating, AOTS will be partnering with The Secret Cake Kitchen for a fun filled Christmas Cake and Sip event on 28 November from 6pm-8pm. Attendees will be able to decorate their own Bento cake masterpieces, choosing from festive designs including Santa, snowmen, reindeer, wreaths, gingerbread men and more. Why not kick off the holiday season with some cake, creativity, and a little sparkle, alongside a glass of fizz on arrival, the perfect festive girl’s night activity! Tickets are available here.

On 5 and 8 December, Funk and Bloom will host a festive florals & fizz workshop in collaboration with All Over The Shop where guests will be taught how to create their own fresh wreath packed with fresh moss, festive foliage and Christmas decorations. Fizz and nibbles will be provided, as well as all your favourite Christmas tunes. Tickets are available here.

For kids, there will be a Festive Friendship Bracelets workshop with Cloverlea Crystals taking place on 18 December, the same date the iconic Elf On the Shelf makes a special appearance at Metquarter! Perfect for children ages 8 and above, this hands-on workshop offers a fun and creative way for kids to celebrate the season and forge new friendships. With an array of colourful beads, strings, and festive embellishments at their fingertips, they can make as many bracelets as their hearts desire—perfect for gifting to friends and family or keeping as holiday treasures! Tickets are available here.

Other workshops include Hoodie Upcycling, Crochet Bow jewellery making, wine glass painting and ring silversmithing. More information and booking links to all workshops taking place can be found here.

Bethan Flanagan Founder of All Over The Shop said: I am so excited to kick off All Over The Shop at Metquarter in the lead up to Christmas! It’s great to be able to support the local creative community and celebrate local talent. The pop-up shops are a great way to shop small and find a unique gift for yourself or someone else. Whilst the workshops we have planned mean you can have a creative night out and learn a new skill. It is great to be able to bring all these amazing artists and makers into Metquarter and make a creative hub for all. I’m over the moon with all the support All Over The Shop has received so far and I am so excited for these next six weeks!”

Jennina O’Neill, Metquarter Centre Manager said:“We are delighted to welcome Bethan back to the centre to run these amazing workshops and pop-up shops. Bethan is such a huge advocate of local creatives, and we want to support her as much as we can to make this a success. The workshops are the perfect opportunity to get creative and enjoy a day out with friends or family over the festive period.”

In addition to the workshops, running on 30 November – 1 December, All Over The Shop will bring a fashion-based pop-up shop to the centre, hosting various fashion-based small businesses, creatives & collectors from across the UK. Each day will showcase different brands selling items such as: vintage fashion, reworked clothing, handmade garments, kids’ clothes, menswear, t-shirts, accessories, jewellery and more. This is the perfect opportunity to come down and pick out a unique Christmas gift for any fashion lovers in your life.
