We are delighted that we will be having an exhibition of David Brown’s work in the West Kirby Arts Centre from the 10th of March until the 28th of April with an evening viewing on the 16th of March with our licensed bar. Please join us.
David Brown is a painter in oils and sketcher in pencil and ink. He creates mainly portraits, nudes and townscapes. In addition to his own art practice, he compiles and produces the art newsletter which is circulated widely and shares the arts activities of Wirral and the Liverpool City Region.
He has been involved with Liver Sketching Club for many years – Secretary, Archivist, Class Leader and President in 2013, 2007 and 2005. He is also secretary for the Wirral Society of Arts .
David is the author of ‘The History of the Liver Sketching Club’  and ‘The Liver Sketching Club’ . He is a prolific biographer of artists linked to Wirral, Liverpool and North Wales and also collect artworks from these artists.
He has exhibited at the Royal Cambrian Academy; the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists; Williamson Art Gallery; Liverpool Biennial / Independents; The Artists’ Club, Liverpool; Pannett Art Gallery, Whitby; Highton Gallery, London; The Gallery, Liverpool; Holmfirth Art Week; Heswall Arts Festival; Liverpool Academy of Arts; etc.
As the centre is a busy site, the best viewing times are
