To welcome you back to the VG&M, we are celebrating our wonderful museum, gallery and campus with summer family workshops
Joined by university staff and students, along with exhibiting artists and art educators, we are thrilled to bring you a packed weekly programme of fun, engaging and creative activities.
The theme for this activity will be Campus Art & Architecture
Our campus contains a range of outdoor art and historic buildings. Take part in a buildings Maths trail devised by the University’s Maths Outreach team, then join them to complete their Soma Cube challenge – a prize for the fastest completed cube! Get up close to our buildings on a Geological walk searching for fossils and other clues as to how the building materials were formed. Explore our campus artworks then join artist Fay to create your own mini sculpture park, 3D sculptures and print a building!
Most suitable for ages 4-11 but all are welcome.
We hope to run the events outside in our quadrangle at the back of our building.
There will be a Covid-safe wet weather option.
We would ask you to bear with us this summer as we will be running our events differently to adhere to Covid government guidelines in place at the time of the events.
Please book one ticket for a table and enter in your details for NHS Track and Trace at the time of booking.
Each bubble will have their own table for art activities and we ask for one bubble at a time to attend the academic activity tables.
Free event but pre-booking essential.
