Dignity in Mental Health Art Exhibition

Exhibition runs Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October 2015

Liverpool will celebrate World Mental Health Day on Saturday 10th October with a programme of events more extensive and varied than those offered in any other city in the UK. The activities range from music, performance and debates to film, training, advice and information. Now in its 6th year and organised by Liverpool Mental Health Consortium, one of the most popular events in our World Mental Health Day programme has proved to be the art exhibition.

In 2015, the art exhibition will be hosted by the Baltic Creative and Unit 51 at 49 Jamaica Street, Liverpool, L1 0AH: a natural home for showcasing creative flair and talent.

These popular venues are already a hit with local art lovers and will allow the World Mental Health Day events to cover new ground by extending the programme’s footprint into the Baltic.

Chris Green, Operations Officer at Baltic Creative said, “We are looking forward to hosting the World Mental Health Day exhibition in October. It will help attract new audiences to our Campus building and Unit 51 cafe who can experience the vibrant, creative atmosphere on offer down here.”

The exhibition will be open from Friday 9th – Sunday 11th October and will be free to attend. The organisers are delighted to announce that the Singh Twins Amrit and Rabindra, award-winning contemporary British artists of international standing, will open the exhibition.
