THREE MERSEYSIDE ARTISTS BRING THREE DISTINCTIVE VISIONS TO NEW SEFTON EXHIBITION

Three Artists, One Vision – Rosie’s Gallery, Sefton Meadows Garden Centre – 19–27 September 2026

Three Merseyside artists with strikingly different approaches to their work are joining forces this September for Three Artists, One Vision, a new exhibition at Rosie’s Gallery, Sefton Meadows Garden Centre.

Running from Saturday 19th to Sunday 27th September 2026, the exhibition brings together the work of Frank Davidson, Kev Earle and Diane Moore, offering visitors an unusual combination of Northern social history, contemporary abstraction, landscape, symbolism and mixed-media art within one exhibition.

The exhibition follows the success of the larger Artistic Minds exhibition at Rosie’s in July, and brings the focus onto just three artists, allowing each to present a broader selection of work and giving visitors the opportunity to explore three very different artistic identities within the same space.

Frank Davidson – Northern Life, Heritage and Humanity

Born in Liverpool in 1954, Frank Davidson spent more than fifty years working as a builder before dedicating more time to his lifelong passion for painting.

Influenced by the work of L. S. Lowry and Eric Tucker, Frank captures the spirit of Northern industrial life through evocative scenes of Victorian streets, football grounds and working-class communities.

His paintings celebrate the humour, resilience and humanity of everyday people while preserving elements of Northern social history with warmth, authenticity and affection.

Prints produced directly from Frank’s original paintings are issued in extremely limited editions of just 80 copies, creating collectable pieces of local heritage and storytelling through art.

Kev Earle – Looking Beyond the Obvious

Kev Earle works primarily in acrylics, mixed media and print. His distinctive style combines realism, abstraction and symbolism, creating work intended not simply to depict a subject but to encourage conversation and interpretation.

Inspired by history, social issues, mathematics, music and the natural world, his paintings frequently challenge conventional perspectives through bold compositions and strong geometric forms.

His work often contains additional narratives and multiple layers of meaning, encouraging the viewer to look beyond the obvious and discover something new with each viewing. Merseyside, its history and its changing landscape provide inspiration for a growing body of contemporary work.

Diane Moore – Experimentation Across Art and Media

Liverpool-based Diane Moore works across watercolour, acrylic, oils and mixed media, embracing a deliberately broad range of styles rather than being confined to a single artistic approach.

Her work ranges from contemporary abstracts to traditional still life and landscape, reflecting a strong interest in experimentation, colour and creative exploration.

Alongside painting, Diane is an accomplished textile artist, creating embroidered pieces through fabric manipulation, threads and yarns. She also designs handcrafted jewellery incorporating her own artwork and painting techniques.

Her varied practice is continually informed by galleries, nature and experimentation, and she also shares her knowledge through workshops and demonstrations.

Three Artists – One Vision

Although their work is markedly different, Davidson, Earle and Moore share a common belief in the importance of original art being created, seen and enjoyed.

Following the success of the Artistic Minds exhibition at Rosie’s in July, the three artists have come together to create a dedicated nine-day collaborative exhibition, giving each artist the opportunity to present a significant body of work within the distinctive setting of Rosie’s Gallery.

Three Artists, One Vision brings together three contrasting but complementary artistic approaches. Frank’s celebration of Northern life and social history sits alongside Kev’s contemporary exploration of realism, abstraction and symbolism, while Diane brings colour, experimentation and an exceptional diversity of media and subject.

The result is an exhibition designed to offer visitors variety while allowing the individual identity of each artist to remain strong.

For visitors, it is an opportunity to spend time with a substantial collection of locally created art, meet the artists, discover the stories behind their work and perhaps find an original painting or limited-edition print to take home.
