To complement The Sacred Memory Bank exhibition at Kirkby Gallery, opening January 2026, we are hosting a series of individual workshops with artists Jeff Young and Mike Badger. Explore the relationship between objects, memory and reminiscence. Use writing and assemblage to unlock the stories held within the totems and curios personal to you. Create your own unique artwork to take home or gift.
Bring with you some small ephemera, meaningful to you, to be secured in a display container along with writing, print or collage. Each workshop will be led by both artists and is a stand alone session. However, you are welcome to book onto as many of the workshops as you like.
The individual sessions run from 1-3pm on Thursdays from 22 January till 12 March, and cost £20 each. Advance booking is essential. Please select from the following dates:
