VaRt – An emotional odyssey – between virtual reality and lived experiences.
VaRt sends the visitor on an emotional odyssey of virtual reality art and contemporary paintings inspired by the lived experiences of people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
This visual arts exhibition leads you through digital virtual reality and analog intercultural experiences, blending the digital future with the memories of the past. This collaboration demonstrates innovation, social conscience and opens the doors for all people.
4Wings is a women’s organisation that works alongside survivors of trauma or abuse, predominantly asylum seekers and refugees. While we are all creative, not all have access to cultural spaces. 4Wings aims to work with artists and a variety of organisations to remove these barriers. We aim to contribute to more inclusive cultural spaces by providing access and a sense of belonging and ownership to socially excluded people.
4Wings exhibits paintings that were created by 4Wings members during our creative programmes. The paintings tell the stories of home, identity and of people’s connections, they express their memories and their hopes for the future. On their journey the visitors will meet the avatars of the women who make 4Wings the multicultural and welcoming organisation it is.
