Uptown, Downtown
Three artists take a colourful and quirky look at urban life. With Peter Cameron, Anna Clark and Clare Flinn.
Thursday 1st February to Saturday 2nd March.
Opening Times: Thursday – Saturday, 10am – 4pm
There is a strong narrative in Peter Cameron’s pictures. Full of extraordinary characters who look like they have stories to tell, he captures the vibrancy and eccentricity of his Liverpudlian subjects in a blur of movement and colour.
Anna Clark’s wanderings around Wirral and further afield are the inspiration for much of her work. She likes to capture glimpses of day to day places and give them an artistic makeover. The finished pieces are multilayered and often combine print, collage, drawing and paint.
Clare Flinn’s work derives from her rambles around Liverpool and Wirral. The pictures in this show reflect her love of painting colour and light, and portray both the bustle and the more remote, empty corners of city life.
The gallery will be hosting a preview evening on Thursday 1st February between 6pm and 8pm, and all are welcome.
You’ll find the LAKE gallery in the heart of West Kirby, a couple of minutes walk from the train station.
