February 2018 Meeting
This month Art Club is on Sunday 4th February starting at 2pm and finishing at approximately at 3.30.
We will view and discuss ‘The Pier Head’ by Tom Wood in the Open Eye Gallery.

Please meet in the main foyer of the gallery.
Afterwards for those interested we will meet in a near by cafe for a coffee.
We have also been able to arrange 3 extra Art Clubs so please come along if you can esp. if you can’t make the regular club on a Sunday.

Bryan Biggs, the artistic director, has kindly offered to give Art Club members a private tour of the exhibition. We will receive unique insights into the work on view.
Art Club Extra Two

We will look at and discuss the Not Just Collective’s ‘Thresholds: THe Adjacent Possible’. This is a collection of 40 art works by local & international artists. Some of the artists and curators will be available to join in our discussions.
We will meet in the gallery which is on the top floor & is a brilliant abandoned industrial space.
The Not Just Collective was started at the same time as Art Club – during Biennial 2012.
Art Club members are also invited to the launch on Friday 9th February from 6.30 – 9pm.This will include performances including Andy Johnson storytelling.
(The gallery is not heated so please dress warmly)
Art Club Extra 3
Saturday 24th February 2 –Â 3.30 pm
RIBA North, Mann Island, L3 !BP (Next door to the Open Eye)
The Gallery is on the first floor which is where we will meet.

We will look at and discuss the Ceramica exhibition. Paddy Gould, who has recently started coming to the club, will give us an introduction to the gallery & exhibition.
After for those interested afterwards we will go for a coffee in the centre’s cafe.
