Join us on Tuesday 19th November 2024 at 6pm at Make on the Corner for a beginner-friendly watercolour Christmas card workshop, where you’ll create your one-of-a-kind set to show off to your friends and family!
This workshop is suitable for anyone, whether it is your first time holding a paintbrush, or your millionth!
What to expect:
Olivia will teach you watercolour painting basics and top tips, providing any help you need. We will cover:
- Freehand painting techniques
- Wet-on-wet method
- Embracing mistakes
- Traditional and non-traditional ways to use watercolour
What to bring:
All materials will be provided for the workshop, so all you must bring is yourself and your festive spirit! However, you may bring your own materials and paintbrushes if you wish.
We will provide:
- Watercolour paper
- Paintbrushes
- Masking tape
- Watercolour paint
- Water pots
- Fine liner pens
- Rags
- Envelopes
You can take your Christmas cards home on the day, with plenty of time before Christmas to send them out and let your loved ones enjoy them.
Please note that this is an 18+ event.

About your tutor:
Your tutor, Olivia McIntosh, is a fine artist based at Make Huyton Village, with a passion for painting. Olivia has featured in exhibitions and projects around Liverpool and Knowsley, having studied the arts in both areas for the past 5 years. Olivia loves to learn and teach, focusing her practice on unlearning and relearning traditional painting methods throughout different projects.
Olivia is passionate about making art more accessible to those who are neurodivergent through using alternative methods of learning, documenting, and communicating.
