The Magic Band at Liverpool Philharmonic’s Music Room
Though not part of the official prograqmme, The Magic Band’s return to Liverpool, promoted by Ceremony Concerts, provides a perfect start to the weekend. Former Captain Beefheart musical director and drummer John ‘Drumbo’ French leads the band’s latest version for one final UK tour. A faithful rendition of the best of Beefheart’s music is guaranteed. Line-up: John ‘Drumbo’ French – lead vocals, harmonica, sax, drums; Eric Klerks – extended ranch guitar, backing vocals; Max Kutner – guitar and slide guitar;Jonathan Sindelman – keyboards; Andy Niven – Drums.
