More here

After a short bloom, blossom falls gently: it’s impermanence is the essence of its beauty.  Our individual perception of time, movement & space is a journey based on a lifetime of shifting, changing & reinventing.  Nothing is permanent. Even our daily rhythms can never really happen the same way twice.

Friend Or Foe invite you to experience a musical performance within an interactive light installation, written & designed specifically in response to the unique historical space of the catacombs beneath St George’s Hall. At the core of the world’s first air-conditioning system, the vast cellular stretches of arched corridors operate as the breathing lungs of the building, brought to life using directional sound & light to continually shift spacial perception, each bulb controlled to react to the sounds & actions of the performance as you circulate through the dark passageways.  As the evening progresses, elements of the performance transform, distort, decay & evolve. No performance will sound or look the same.

Performances last 30 minutes and have limited capacity, so please arrive early and anticipate queues. Includes moments of darkness & flashing lights.

Friend Or Foe are a Liverpool-based collective. Their projects include interactive installation & performance events combining music, sound, light & projections.

Takes place in the catacombs. Access via Heritage Centre.
