Cass Art: Fox Needle Felting Workshop with Felt Fabulous

At this fun and relaxing workshop, participants will use felting needles and a variety of wools, to needle felt an adorable little fox. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, as all tools, wools and techniques will be explained and demonstrated throughout the workshop. Felters of some experience will enjoy this workshop also, you may want to stretch yourself and aim for a bit more realism in form and features. Whatever level of experience you have, you will be supported all the way. Participants will first be shown the techniques of sculpting wool into simple shapes, followed by how to add features and detail to bring your fox to life.
Amanda Smith of Felt Fabulous Gifts, is a self-taught felt artist who discovered the joys of felting after leaving a teaching career. Now 8 years on and a full-time felter, Amanda loves to share her passion for this therapeutic and addictive craft by passing her skills on to others. She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association.

Materials provided: All wools, felting mats and needles will be provided. Participants will be able to take home any felting needles they have used.
