Join us to learn more about Jenkin van Zyl’s new exhibition! This immersive installation transports you to Jenkin’s hallucinatory film world where couples must compete in a grueling endurance dance marathon. Discover an energy-drink lined trophy room and watch Jenkin’s film, Surrender (2023), from inside the belly of a giant metallic rat.
For this event, Jenkin and our Learning team have worked with a group of local young people to design a tour that shares their unique perspective on the exhibition. The group will lead conversations with the artist, exploring Jenkin’s practice as well as the different motifs and themes found within the work. The tour will last between 45-60 minutes.
