Crosby Library: The Colour of Pomegranates: Menopause Workshops
Event Location:
no location
We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be running two menopause sessions for sanctuary seeking women in Crosby Library thanks to one of The North West Strategic Migration Partnership’s Small Grants awards.
Wednesday 28th January in Crosby Library
& Wednesday 25th March in Bootle Library
11am – 1pm
The workshops will create spaces for women to openly talk about menopause, access information and advice and build peer support.
We’ll co-create a resource in the workshops which will then be translated and shared with other local groups supporting women seeking asylum within our local community!
Sessions will be run by Abeer Al-awlaqi. Abeer is a registered nutritionist and menopause coach, and supports women through the changes that come with midlife and menopause using simple, realistic nutrition and lifestyle advice. She works with women from different backgrounds and communities, especially those who may feel isolated or unsure where to start with their health, always in a warm, practical, and supportive way.
Her aim is to help women feel understood, confident, and in control of their health again.
🤝🏻 Please note these sessions are for sanctuary seeking and migrant women only.
Wednesday, 25 March, 2026 from 11am until 1pm
