‘The Bridewell’ has offered artists opportunities to create since 1976.
A listed, Edwardian police station it is home to over 30 artists working in various media such as painting, printmaking, textiles, stained glass and ceramics.
Over the years its gallery, courtyard and cells have hosted exhibitions, film and music nights. It continues to play an important part in Liverpool’s Creative Universe.
