I Killed The Angel in The House is a debut solo show by artist-in-residence Niamh Tam.
In this exhibition, Niamh delves into the realms of loneliness and isolation within the growth to womanhood, showcasing a poetic and dark body of work that is a testament to the myriad complexities of existence and vulnerability.
Through painting, sculpture and installation, Niamh aims to craft a narrative of sensations, exploring the body’s boundaries and vulnerabilities. Her use of materials and images aims to unnerve yet showcase empathy.
Through the lens of the grotesque, Niamh confronts societal expectations and cultural norms, laying bare the intricacies of power, desire and agency.
