Hello and welcome to the Alternative layers exhibition; an exploration of movement through multitudinous space, uncovering the layers in between.
The Alternative Layers Exhibition, is an exploration of space from each artist’s perspective.
The term ‘space’ is not used to refer to emptiness or a plain void of life or things, rather here it is used expansively to encompass space in the physical, psychological, metaphorical and spiritual sense. Each artist’s work is a depiction or a negotiation of one or more of these spaces. The distancing from, and losing or finding themselves within it.
Throughout the exhibition a wide range of artistic mediums and approaches are taken, from sculpture, drawing, painting, and film, to convey the scope of the subject in which it contends, but also to reflect the diversity of life.
