The Art School Dance Goes on Forever
Art schools have been a fruitful environment for UK pop, while music itself features in much contemporary art.
Bluecoat Artistic Director Bryan Biggs charts this relationship, focusing on archetypal 1970s art school band, Deaf School, who emerged from Liverpool Art School, and popular music’s continuing vitality to inform, enliven and disrupt visual arts practice.
