My name is Paul Shiers and I am an abstract painter. I paint in series and in different themes. Some of my works are semi-abstract as they are related to memories of landscapes. I try to create atmosphere in my work and I am interested in the art of the sublime. Nature is a constant source of inspiration for me. Other paintings I create are mainly compositional in nature and are full of symbols.
I try to paint pictures that will invite the viewer in. I think owners of my paintings will have a piece of work that is many things to different viewers: warm, enigmatic, powerful, subtle.
