 | Born 1974 Julian Kimmings is a Yorkshire born Graphic Artist now living In Chester, Cheshire. His work ranges from pencil drawings and intricate water colours to large scale canvases and street art containing a mixture of abstract fantasy portraiture and illustrative prose, often from the recesses of his mind with a pinch of his dark humor and often influenced by popular culture and the comics of his youth. Julian studied Illustration, graduating in 1997. He took a break from his traditional art roots when he took a career in digital design but has recently started painting again prolifically. “Painting provides me with an enormous sense of freedom and release from the stresses and mundanity of every day life.” Julian has had work exhibited at the ICA London and in The Mail On Sunday’s You Magazine. |
