We are delighted to be recruiting a Research Development Officer to join our Research, Partnerships and Innovation Directorate, supporting the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the faculty’s research ambitions and help build a strong pipeline of research activity.
The role is varied and dynamic, from horizon scanning for funding opportunities, supporting academics with grant and fellowship applications, to coordinating strategic Faculty initiatives and committees. You will work closely with senior academics and professional services colleagues to operationalise research strategy, enhance bid quality, and strengthen networks that support research performance and income growth.
You will have a degree (or equivalent) and relevant research support or development experience. You are a proactive, collaborative self-starter, able to work independently and engage effectively with colleagues at all levels. A good understanding of the UK research funding landscape and experience in bid coordination or research project support is essential.
The post is fixed term for 12 months, based on our Liverpool campus, with opportunities for hybrid working. Part-time or flexible arrangements will also be considered.
Interview date will be Wednesday 20 May.
Commitment to Diversity
The University of Liverpool is committed to enhancing workforce diversity. We actively seek to attract, develop, and retain colleagues with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We welcome applications from all genders/gender identities, Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic backgrounds, individuals living with a disability, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
