Open Call to Artists: Exhibition 02: LINEAGE – Open Call

April 22, 2026

Call for Artists!: Spirit&Psycho presents: Exhibition 02: LINEAGE

Spirit&Psycho is a curated online platform supporting contemporary artists through exhibitions and open calls. Operating on a monthly cycle, it releases a new open call each month, providing accessible opportunities for artists to share their work and gain visibility.

For the month of May, the exhibition is titled LINEAGE

Lineage is about exploring family, culture, and the roots that shape who we are. Connection to place, to people, to grief, to history, and to identity. Artists are encouraged to respond to the idea of lineage in their own way, whether through personal narratives, inherited traditions, memory, or the relationships that define a sense of belonging.

Submission Deadline is 8th of May at 1pm

Art in Liverpool was established in 2004 to support artists and artist-led space, and has spent the last two decades seeking to share news and events on an equal platform for the biggest institutions and smallest start ups.

The new login function for the site allows two roles:

Create an artist profile.
Add up to five images, and audio visual links to embed video or sound content.
Link to your own website or social media.
Host your CV and Exhibition History.
Submit blog posts for the new Artist Blogs & News section.

No profiles, but your submissions will link to any live page dedicated to your gallery (for freelance producers, it will be easier to set up an artist profile – there is an artform box that allows you to assign Producer as your role).

Submit events directly once your account is approved.
Submit jobs & calls.
Share producer blogs and stories about your gallery / group.

This new feature is in addition to whole new website, and is very much is BETA. All entries will be live.

Cost: free. As with everything from Art in Liverpool, we’re here to support the art world. This doesn’t cost us anything, so it shouldn’t cost you anything.

Ownership: You, the artist or producer, own the rights to your work, and we will never sell any of your content. By uploading to www.artinliverpool.com you agree that Art in Liverpool C.I.C. can share your stories, but with the assurance that it will be given with full credit, and links to your own social media or websites if you have them.
