Artist Fee: £10,000
Production Budget: £25,500
Deadline: 28 April 2026
Field Art Projects, working with Curo Group, is inviting expressions of interest from artists for a new public art commission at Holly House, the final phase of The Willows housing development in Lawrence Weston.
This opportunity is rooted in a context where community action is already shaping the landscape. In recent years, Lawrence Weston has seen a series of significant resident-led initiatives, including the development of neighbourhood plans, the delivery of a community-owned wind turbine and the establishment of a well-used community hub. Together, these initiatives form a strong foundation of local infrastructure, participation and shared ambition.
The appointed artist will work closely with residents and local partners to develop a site-responsive artwork for Holly House. The commission will begin with a period of research and engagement, providing time to understand the area’s social, spatial and historical context before developing a final proposal.
This is an opportunity to work within a neighbourhood where collaboration and local leadership are already well established, and to develop a project that connects meaningfully with everyday life, shared spaces and the evolving identity of the area.
