Shout Out
Calling all visionary artists! We invite you to be part of an extraordinary exhibition that celebrates the art of dazzle and camouflage. Whether your work is bold and disruptive or subtle and elusive, we want to see how you interpret this fascinating theme.
This is your chance to showcase your creativity, challenge perceptions, and contribute to a thought-provoking dialogue about visibility and concealment in art.
Join us in creating an exhibition that will captivate and inspire. Let’s dazzle the senses and explore the art of camouflage together! What is seen cannot be unseen…or can it?!!??
Down The Hatch
The Hatch is an art gallery and events space in fabulous New Brighton, Wirral, Merseyside.
Designed to foster creativity and collaboration, this is a call for works for the second Hatch show of 2025 after the incredibly successful The Inside Story – The Art of Printing Trees by Julian Bull.
Dazzle Us
The Seen Unseen: Dazzle and Camouflage exhibition seeks to explore the dualities of visibility and invisibility, boldness and subtlety, and the ways in which art can both reveal and obscure.
Inspired by the historical use of dazzle camouflage in World War I, where ships were painted with bold, geometric patterns to confuse and mislead, this exhibition invites artists to delve into the concepts of disruption, deception, and transformation.
We are looking for works that challenge perception, play with patterns, or make the everyday world, people, creatures or buildings we have grown too accustomed to look different. We want to explore the boundaries between standing out and blending in.
Whether through vibrant, eye-catching designs or subtle, almost imperceptible details, we encourage artists to push the limits of how we see and interpret the world around us.
Exhibition Dates: May – June 2025
Submission Deadline: April 11, 2025
