‘The Stitch In Time’ ‘Identity & Journey’ arpilleras celebrate cultural diversity exploring the relationship of personal identity and the journey of it’s maker through the production of appliquéd textiles stitched onto burlap. Inspired by the Chilean Arpilleras. The personal stories speak of happy memories, hopes and dreams. The arpillera makers are from Liverpoo, Wirral, Chester, St Helens, Prescot, Billinge, with some of the makers originating from Wales, India and Puerto Rico
