Unity Theatre – Jo Bywater Paintings

jobywater-100Paintings by Jo Bywater
25 January – 26 February 2011

Jo Bywater comments:  ‘I paint acrylic on canvas. I’m very influenced by comic artwork and bold bright colours, I paint mainly in a surrealist style’ .

There’s a lot of symbolism, earthy and spiritual emphasis in my paintings. I like to take feelings and dreams and create an image of varying depths that the viewer can go into and explore/escape.

25 January – Acoustic evening to celebrate the launch of the exhibition of acrylic paintings:

To accompany the visual there will be acoustic music from:

Lonesome Georginas: An easy-like-sunday-morning fun band with beautifully tasty harmonies and catchy melodies that willcome back to hijack (in a nice way) your brain at any given moment.

Matt Swift
: Acoustic guitar singer/songwriter Matt, swiftly making his way round the Liverpool music scene. Observant, poetic and a damn good heckler!

Jo Bywater: performing some songs from my new debut acoustic album: Cycle Grace Pulse Break. There will also be a chance to buy the album.
