Thresholds Festival Butterfly Campaign

Sunday 10 March

Camp & Furnace

Entrance: £5 or free for children under 13 who bring along/make a butterfly!

A subject that has affected the team at Threshold is cancer, and because of this it the pursuit of a cure is very close to our hearts. This means it was a natural move to become the official partner of North West Cancer Research. North West Cancer Research are one of the biggest and most influential charities in the North West for understanding cancer. With its increased strength and size it leads the way in the fight against cancer where only world-class research will do.
The official symbol of North West Cancer Research is a butterfly, so as part of this year’s festival, whether it be a world record or just an amazing sight, Threshold want to get as many Origami Butterflies as possible into one place. They are looking for paper butterflies of all sorts to be included, be they simple shapes cut out or proper Origami designs, the important thing is to get as many as possible.
On Sunday 10 March (also Mother’s Day) you can come to Camp & Furnace in Liverpool to either add your butterfly to the collection or to even make your own at the event. The aim is to get over 3000! (Butterflies are the logo for NWCR)
On the day there will also be live performances from Curtis Watt, Frances Wood, MiC Lowry and Dave O’Grady, as well as hundreds of other goings on throughout the day and the weekend.
