‘The Beauty of…A Creative Space’
A unique arts project directed by Yellow Door Artists and in association with The Heart of Glass.

Location: The Old Burtons Unit, St Helens.
Open: Wednesdays – Saturdays, 10.00 – 17.00 from Wednesday 2 September 2015…

3 exhibitions featuring works by two fantastic photographers; Kevin Crooks and Alan Smith.

Postcard exhibition, with over 70 original pieces of artwork for sale, donated by artists from across the country.

This project is set within an empty retail unit in St. Helens town centre and utilised as a multi-purpose arts space providing a 6 week flexible and valuable exhibition and studio space for UK based artists to create and showcase work.

The project will consist of three main strands working towards these aims …
– An artist residency programme whereby 8 artists from across the UK will work directly from the space.
– Exhibition and gallery space, providing a platform for the artists to exhibit and sell work.
(All money made donated to C-R-Y Cardiac Risk in the Young)
– Free workshop opportunities for the public and lead by practising artists.

Art work will be created and produced whilst the gallery is open to the public and the result will be a group exhibition which grows week by week as the artist enters and leaves the space.

‘The Beauty Of..’ is an interactive project, where audiences are invited to engage with the artists and the work being created so as to better understand the processes used and decisions made in an artists’ practice.
