A Sweet Life
Until Spring 2010
Handbags, shoes, hatpins and gowns: Emily Margaret Tinne was a wealthy doctor’s wife with a love for shopping. This exhibition displays stunning clothes and accessories that formed part of her extensive wardrobe between 1910 and 1940. Photographs and recently unearthed family letters also give an insight into the life the Tinne family led in the affluent suburbs of South Liverpool.
