‘Of Love and Rubbish’ Jo Smith

Inspired by her local surroundings, Jo Smith’s current pieces are a playful response to her environment using an array of discarded and recycled materials. Her love of colour is passionately reflected in this joyful and quirky series, enhanced by the textural qualities of the materials used.
Alongside her recycling antics, Jo paints in Acrylics and she is also exhibiting recent work from her ‘Growing Love’ series. Once again, these images are inspired by nature and more meaningfully, the deep seated belief in the healing power of love.
Jo has exhibited widely across the Wirral, most recently at the Williamson Art Gallery. Her many commissioned paintings of Wirral views hang in homes across Europe and as far as Australia.
