Rathbone studio and Wirral autistic society are pleased to announce a showcase of the photographic talents of clients attending Wirral autistic society Community and Vocational Services. The Community and Vocational Services offers people with autism meaningful, realistic and achievable training, on the job work experience and valuable life skills.
CVS offers a structured, person centred programmes offering the necessary communication strategies and support plans, enabling the service users to develop independently, safely and confidently, offering fantastic opportunities for people with autism to develop essential work and life skills and reach their full potential.
The Media /ITC department and Ceramics departments working with these talented clients have produced a diverse exhibition of works produced within these departments. Along with photographs taken of a variety of subjects a selection of ceramics created by clients will also be on view. This exhibition is comprised of photographs taken by service users of all abilities who are on the autistic spectrum, the composition of images are through the eyes of the service user.

The Rathbone studio is now in the building the iconic Della Robbia Pottery was situated between 1894 – 1906. The ethos behind the Della Robbia Pottery was to bring individuality to each piece produced; allowing the artist to express and create unique and original designed ceramic work, the work on show during the “Through our eyes” exhibition Is created within the same ethos each piece with a feel and character of its own.
